I had two dilemmas: How to maintain the habit of writing every day and where to use the plenty of cute stationery stickers that I bought online.
Writing and bullet journaling are two of the activities that I love to do. Ever since the pandemic started, I became fond of purchasing cute stationery materials online. I started bullet journaling but due to my exhausting schedule at work, I just can’t keep up and maintain it. It also turns out that I also have this challenge of maintaining a daily writing habit because at the end of the day I just want to embrace my bed. Even if I work from home, it was still a struggle to stop procrastinating and start writing.
From time to time, I would take a look at my stickers trying to think of a design on the dotted pages of my pink bullet journal. One day, the inspiration struck me when I was organizing my stickers by placing them on a small zipper bag. I thought, what if I pick one sticker out from this bag daily, write something short about it and place it on my bullet journal?
I was excited about my idea and decided that I would always do it at the end of the day. What added to the excitement was that I always looked forward to what sticker I will get.
So, it became a habit that every night I would giggle as I took out one sticker from the bag. I would mix all of the stickers in the bag with my right hand for a few seconds without looking at it then I would pick out one sticker. Sometimes I would scream with so much glee whenever I picked out a sticker that fits how my day went. I would peel off the sticker from its adhesive then excitedly stick it on one of the pages of my bullet journal. After that, I would get a small piece of colored paper and start writing what I feel about the sticker that I got, put paste at the back of the paper, and place it beside the sticker. There are no rules. I just write whatever I want and whatever I feel. Surprisingly, as I went on doing this what I expected to be just a few words turned into sentences and sometimes into short paragraphs. I would find myself saying, “Hey, stop writing, it only has to be short!”
The habit of writing daily doesn’t have to be tedious. It can be as small as this. After writing, I always feel that I have achieved something huge for the day. I believe that it will also help prevent writer’s block, increase creativity, and can be a form of self-care. If you’re a stationery addict like me and if you love writing you will love this!
Here’s an example of one of the lines I did with a raindrop sticker:
Raindrops are like tears. Sometimes, they are big. As big as our hurt. But as they fall on the ground they vanish eventually. Same as with our hurts, they vanish too. We get healed.
Here are some pictures of my bullet journal masterpiece. I call this: Weather of Emotions

Why? Because I thought that since the stickers that I have had different color combinations and designs about the weather, why not connect it with what I am feeling daily and write what each weather meant for me.
Leave a comment and let me know how this works for you! Happy writing and happy bullet journaling!
