How Affirmation Stickers Can Help You Have A Positive Outlook In Life

Posted on September 13, 2021September 11, 2021 by Nini Dizon

Hey friends! If you’ve been reading my blog posts for the past months, you’ll notice that I grew fond of picking different types of stationery stickers from my zippered bag. For those of you who haven’t read my previous blog posts about stationery stickers, you can check it out. I’ve been fond of stationery since I was little and now, I’m using stationery stickers in many creative ways. I use it as a form of self-care, affirmation, reflection or meditation guide and so much more! Especially during this pandemic, it’s nice to have something like this to keep my mind busy and at the same time stay creative and positive as I reach my dreams.

On this blog, I’m here to share with you my new Affirmation Wall which I have created in the past weeks with the help of my friend and typography artist Izh! My friend Izh is also fond of stationery just like me. With that said she studied how to print stickers and other print-on-demand products. So, I bought these “I Am” stationery stickers from her, and just like what I’ve said on my other blogs I put them on my zipper bag and pick one or two per day. Most of us need self-care and affirming ourselves is one way of doing it creatively and effectively through stationery stickers.

On another journal, I see to it that daily I would write a minimum of five affirmations per day. At first, it wasn’t easy for me because I’m not fond of affirming myself plus it is not my love language. Sometimes it would take a while for me to think about kind words to myself but as I go on, I noticed a positive change in me. I became more persevered in aiming to reach my dreams and I noticed that I would mentally affirm myself automatically in different situations like work, etc. Affirmation helps us thrive and believe in ourselves by letting go of all the toxic negativities and lies that we may have absorbed in the past or maybe just recently. So, when Izh said that she’s selling these “I am” stationery stickers I got excited and purchased them from her. Once I got hold of the stickers, I remember that day when I couldn’t concentrate at work. I kept thinking about the stickers and what design will I create in my bullet journal.

As soon as I was free, I created my bullet journal design and as I stared at these stickers on the packaging, I excitedly placed them in my zipper bag. I shook the bag for a few seconds, opened it, and the first one I got is “I AM WORTHY” which made me smile and feel mushy. As I pulled the adhesive of the vinyl sticker, I like the quality where it looked like that it will stick for a very long time. I don’t like stickers that easily fall off on their own after some time. When I finally placed it on the design page of my bullet journal, I noticed that the sticker itself is water-resistant and scratch-resistant because of its matte lamination! It’s my first time to have water-resistant stickers so I admired the material it was made of. Until now whenever I look at my bullet journal, I enjoy touching its surface because of its smooth finish.

Day by day I picked stationery stickers from my zipper bag and placed them on my bullet journal. I don’t simply place them but just like what I do before when I was writing my affirmations on my other journal, I would repeat it to myself by saying it out loud. There were times when I noticed that I would just say it just to say it and get over it so what I do before I move on to the second or third affirmation for the day is that I would repeat it to myself twice, thrice, or five times until it dwells into my heart while striking my chest. I believe that “I Am”. I am WORTHY, I am BEAUTIFUL, I am SAVED, I am SEEN, I am ENOUGH, and so on. I find myself living a happier life ever since I started paying attention to affirming myself. There may be rough days that saps out all my self-esteem but affirmation stickers are here to the rescue! Let’s affirm ourselves today. Believe that you are BEAUTIFUL, you are HEALED, you are FORGIVEN, you are GOD’S MASTERPIECE. Wait, speaking of “You are” stay tuned for my blog post next month where I will talk about “You are”. It will be very interesting because it’s not going to be about me now but someone close to me. So, till then! Keep affirming yourself. I will keep on affirming myself too.

I’m so thankful that my friend Izh made these stickers, it’s a fun and creative way to affirm oneself. Do you love her stickers too? You can also purchase yours here: https://shopee.ph/izhherbon

Love what you read? Share this with your friends who you think need to be affirmed today.
